Byron Hamburgers

DSC_0767This well-known burger chain opened its Bristol branch at Clifton Triangle this month.

They made burgers posh. I had the Byron Burger which is topped with bacon. The burger itself is similar to McDonald’s quarter pounder with better quality ingredients. However, the patty was too dry! Isn’t cooking it at medium supposed to keep the juices in?! (I now know better than to trust the recommendations of the one who has numbed tastebuds who thinks Grillstock is The Holy Grill – I had the same complaint about Grillstock.) The only saving grace was the bacon and the bun. The mac and cheese was homemade – but I say homemade with contempt as it was just like how I make it at home.

I agree with Bristol 24/7 who said, “It was good but no better than Chomp can make from their van (and soon in permanent premises on St Nicholas Street) or you can get in thousands of different options from The Burger Joint half a mile or so up Whiteladies Road and on North Street.”
